New Server Change Completed
Thankfully all is running smoothly now. Couple of glitches in porting the software but seems OK now. Also appears to be running slightly faster, which is a relief!

Brand new software will hopefully be coming soon!

There is unfortunately a backlog of emails to deal with, so I ask for some patience. Hope to have it all cleared by the weekend.

Beware of spam pretending to come from us.
I have had a few support emails about this in the last 2 weeks and finally I can see what they mean. Today I myself have received a spam email pretending to come from "Autosurfmonitor" and using the email surf I can assure you all this does not come from us! If you try to reply to that email it will just get binned as we don't use that particular username. If you look at the full header the IP is 202.168.101.216 which is in Australia - neither we nor our server is located there. Also, looking at the email I received it to, it looks like spam from some autosurf admin. Indeed, those of you who have signed up for our newsletter will know that we don't send out many! I tend to post news on here so worth keeping an eye on any recent news items. We will be sending out newsletters so don't stop signing up, it's just that we are very busy running this site and I'd like the newsletter to say something interesting rather than being a list of adverts!

Anyway, there is an anti-spam protocol which many ISPs subscribe to and I will look into the settings I need to make on my email server to implement this. We shall see how genuinely effective it is. As we are upgrading servers yet again because of the continuing increase in traffic, I will add this to my 'to do' list after the server migration.

Sorry if any of you were annoyed about the spam but I guess that was the point of it!

AutoSurfMonitor running slowly
We are aware that the site is currently running very slowly. This is due to the incease in both the traffic to the site and the number of listings and votes. A hardware upgrade will take place some time this weekend. There may be a very brief downtime when this actually takes place but hopefully we should see an improvement in speed.

Update. The hardware upgrade has been done but with only temporary success in speeding up the site. We have identified the process that is slowing everything down and will be working on a long-term solution, but this will take some time to implement and test. In the short term we have come up with a temporary solution. You may have noticed that the average votes have been removed from the main listing pages. To see the votes just click on View Votes and you will see the full programme details and the real-time updated votes. This should relieve some of the burden on the database. As I said, we are working on a permanent solution and hope to have it implemented as soon as feasible.

On a related matter, some of you may have recently found that you have not been receiving confirmation emails for your votes. This has been a consequence of the strain on the database rather than any problem with our email server, so hopefully this will be rare now. One thing, however, if you are using any webmail-based email such as yahoo or hotmail please add the following email to your approved list or it may end up in your 'junk' folder, autosurf /at/ autosurfmonitor /dot/ com.

Layout Changes to AutoSurfMonitor
We are obviously very happy about the huge increase in traffic to our site, as well the constant stream of new autosurf websites seeking a listing. The down-side is that this is slowing down our site. We are increasing the capacity on our server to meet this demand. One other change you will notice is that we have simplified the layout of the listings pages. You will now see just the basics of each listing - to see the full details plus votes cast just click on the Program Details link.

We have also now set a limit of 1000 votes for each listing. There are only two programmes that have currently exceeded this. We will periodically remove the oldest votes so that the programme average reflects the most recent comments. Users can currently only see the most recent 100 votes anyway, so this change makes little difference apart from saving some database space.

We hope these measures will decrease a bit of the load on the database and make the listings pages load faster.

Welcome to our brand new Autosurf Monitoring site. We believe this is the first website dedicated exclusively to monitoring Autosurf programmes. If you are an experienced autosurfer you will have noticed the sharp growth in new programmes over the last couple of months. If you are new to this area, you now face a bewildering choice of programmes. In either case, you need to know which are the best programmes before you join. Which autosurfs pay on time? Which ones have smooth trouble-free surfing? Which programmes are truly the best?

Here at AutoSurfMonitor there are two ways in which we monitor programmes: firstly by investing funds and monitoring payouts; and secondly by user votes. Premium Listings pay a fee to be listed. We then invest those funds back into the autosurf programme listed and thus are able to monitor actual payouts. Basic Listings are free and we are not obliged to invest in them although we will normally open a free account with them if that option is available. You can easily tell how much money we have actually invested in every programme by looking at the value of Our Investment for each autosurf.

You, the user, can also vote on every autosurf listed, whether Premium or Basic. We operate a confirmation system for every vote to ensure that voting is fair. You will receive a confirmation email every time you vote and you will only see your vote appear on our website once you have clicked the link within our email.

If you have done any serious amount of autosurfing you will quickly realise that a lot of work is needed to keep our promise of surfing all the programmes listed. We do it because we find this a fascinating development in internet money making programmes and because we feel it is time the autosurf sector had a serious monitoring website. The HYIP scene, or High Yield Investment Programmes, have many monitoring sites with some being more popular than others. Our aim is to be the first and the best in autosurf monitoring.

We will also add a forum very shortly. This should be ready some time in mid-June and we will announce it when it is open.

As of today we are in pre-launch mode. Before we launch to the general internet public we aim to get as many autosurf programmes signing up to a listing. Our script is fully functional but you may see cosmetic changes as we alter the layout of the site and automate some functions that are currently done manually, such as payments. Our aim is to have everything completed by mid-June, or the end of June at the latest.
